In the year 1994 Commemorative Two
Rupees were released with the theme of "WATER FOR LIFE". These coins
were minted in Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad Mint. However in case of Mumbai
Mint struck coins we can find obverse die varieties which can be differentiated
based on type of Lion Capital on the obverse side. Normally these coins will be
having Type-A lion but in few coins we can even find the Type B Lion also.
Below given is the image of both the Lion Capital varieties that are found in
this Commemorative Two Rupees coin.
